Marah Bukai Among the Most Recommended Professors in USA Imprimer E-mail

Campus Watch project that reviews and critiques Middle East studies in North America with an aim to improving them, has listed Marah Bukai among its most recommended professors in Middle East studies...

Campus Watch. a project of the Middle East Forum, mainly addresses five problems: analytical failures, the mixing of politics with scholarship, intolerance of alternative views, apologetics, and the abuse of power over students.
Middle East studies have a special importance due to its many subjects at the heart of the public debate, such as the war on terror, militant Islam, the Arab-Israeli conflict, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and others. Specialists have an extensive but subtle influence on the way North Americans see this range of topics.
Campus Watch editor stated on the portal: “Students, parents and alumni have sought our advice regarding Middle East studies faculty whom we would recommend. Accordingly, our staff has compiled a list of scholars whom we consider thoughtful and balanced”.
He added:” Campus Watch fully respects the freedom of speech of those it debates while insisting on its own freedom to comment on their words and deeds”.
Campus Watch disclaimer indicates that:” Individuals listed below are done so at Campus Watch's initiative; they have neither asked to be included, nor have we asked for their authorization. Specifically, they do not necessarily endorse the Campus Watch project, nor does Campus Watch necessarily endorse all their work”.

Bukai says:” The first country to recognize the independence of the United States was Morocco under the leadership of the Arab and Muslim Sultan Muhammad bin Abdullah in 1776. Nearly two hundred years later, in 1956, the United States reciprocated this honor by being the first country to recognize Morocco's independence. The United States continued to support the political independence of the Arab peoples and developed relationships with the Arab world based on friendship and cooperation”.
